From 2012 on, part of Maasvlakte 2 will be open to the public. The first section of the leisure beach will most likely open in the spring of 2012 and in the fall; this will be followed by the closing off of the last open section of the so-call outer contour of Maasvlakte 2.
The Yangtzehaven will be taken into use in early 2013, after which Maasvlakte 2 will also be accessible in maritime terms. In the spring of 2013, all beaches will subsequently be taken into use, with the first ship docking at the quay at the end of that year. These are all milestones in the construction of Maasvlakte 2 - splendid occasions to make a work of an exceptional and festive nature.
