Yes, options include the newly constructed seawall. The sea defences to the south and southwest will have the character of a natural dune landscape, complete with a beach area. This soft sea defence is roughly twice as long as the present Maasvlakte. A paved road and ample parking space will ensure excellent accessibility by car and bike alike.
The south-western section will probably get a day beach with five entrances and 1,500 parking spaces. In the western section, an activity beach is under consideration. It will be less busy than the day beach and more geared towards outdoor sports and surfing. In addition, plans include a recreational route on top of the dune defence, as well as seasonal catering facilities.
