Port Authority starts construction of Maasvlakte 2
(08-19) The Port of Rotterdam Authority is to start actual construction work on Maasvlakte 2 at the beginning of September. This was announced by Hans Smits, Port of Rotterdam Authority CEO today, 19 August, during the presentation of the half-yearly figures. According to Mr Smits, the Port Authority now has all the necessary permits.

Contract for construction signed
(27-02) The Port of Rotterdam Authority and the PUMA consortium today signed the contract for the construction of the first section of Maasvlakte 2. The contract involves in excess of € 1 billion. The contractors are ready to start at the end of the summer. The first ships will therefore be able to unload their containers in five years. More >
